Re:      2019 Recipients of Emmanuel Faculty Excellence Awards 

I am pleased to announce this year's recipients of the Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award and the Faculty Excellence in Service to the Community Award.

Patterson Rogers, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Math Education, is the 2019 recipient of the Emmanuel College Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award. The Faculty Excellence in Teaching Committee selected Professor Rogers for her passion for teaching, commitment to her discipline and dedication to her students' academic success.

Melanie Leussis, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology, is the 2019 recipient of the Emmanuel College Faculty Excellence in Service to the Community Award, in honor of Professor Christine Jaworek-Lopes. The Faculty Excellence in Service to the Community Committee selected Professor Leussis for her commitment to service which impacts positively Emmanuel students, faculty and the community.

We look forward to recognizing Dr. Rogers and Dr. Leussis during the 97th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 11.

For safety reasons, all members of the Emmanuel community are requested to adhere to the following protocol when being picked up or dropped off by either Uber, Lyft or Taxi vehicles.

The Dept. of Conservation and Recreation has posted signs "No pick-up or Discharge of passengers" on the Fenway adjacent to the Emmanuel College entrances, both the Loretto and main gate.

Users of any of the above services are requested to instruct the driver to pull onto campus and pick-up or drop off just prior to the crosswalk adjacent to the Administration building.

Officers in the parking booth will advise drivers of this protocol as well.Any questions regarding this issue or any other Public Safety issue, Please stop at Campus Safety located in room 139 in the Admin. building.
