Emmanuel College is expanding its commitment to community engagement and leadership development through a new partnership with Girls Inc. of Boston & Lynn programming connected to the FIFA World Cup 2026, and The Coca-Cola Company.
Together, the partners will host the Her Game, Her Future Youth Leadership Conference on February 28th at Girls Inc.’s Lynn location. The conference will bring together local youth participants and more than 50 Emmanuel College student volunteers for a day focused on leadership development, teamwork, and career exploration.
The conference will also include a keynote address from two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, Emmanuel Track & Field and Cross-Country Coach Dion Gardner-Crichlow.
The event will feature interactive workshops designed to introduce young women to a variety of leadership and professional pathways, including:
· Teamwork and leadership through sport
· Physical therapy, movement, and wellness careers
· Sports journalism and media storytelling
“This partnership reflects Emmanuel College’s mission in action: creating opportunities that connect education, leadership, and community impact while empowering young people and engaging our students in meaningful service,” said Vice President of Community Engagement Dr. Keith Lezama, Jr.
Through this collaboration, Emmanuel College continues to serve as a connector between education, industry, and community organizations, expanding access to leadership development opportunities and strengthening early college awareness among local youth.
The Her Game, Her Future Youth Leadership Conference is part of Emmanuel College’s broader commitment to building partnerships that improve student success, strengthen communities, and create real-world learning experiences.
“Girls Inc. has a long history of providing opportunities for K-12 students to explore their interests and discover new ones,” said Director of Student Success & Community Engagement Fillette Lovaincy. “This partnership brings together two organizations whose values align around community, student growth, and equitable access to opportunity. Together we can do more and contribute to the growth and development of the Girls Inc. students as they consider their options for the future.”
