Build the skills and credentials to teach, lead, and inspire with confidence.

Emmanuel College’s online Master of Education (M.Ed.) program is designed for aspiring and current educators who want to make a lasting difference in their schools and communities. With a focus on urban education and culturally responsive teaching, you’ll gain the content knowledge, pedagogical skill, and leadership mindset to meet the needs of today’s diverse learners.

The program offers initial licensure in elementary teaching (grades 1–6) as well as non-licensure concentrations for those pursuing broader educational roles. Students may also choose additional endorsements in Teaching Students with Moderate Learning Disabilities or English Language Learners (ELL).

Framed around six key performance areas and learning goals, the M.Ed. empowers you to:

  • Build inclusive and effective learning communities
  • Plan curriculum and assess learning outcomes
  • Teach all students with empathy and equity
  • Engage families and communities as partners in success
  • Promote access, justice, and opportunity in education
  • Lead with professionalism, ethics, and purpose

Our synchronous seven-week courses are designed for working professionals, allowing you to learn collaboratively while maintaining your schedule. Motivated students can complete the program in as little as 12 months.
