Emmanuel Women’s Basketball wins GNAC title, earns NCAA tournament berth

The Emmanuel College Women's Basketball team secured another Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship with a 73-64 win over #2 Saint Joseph's College of Maine on March 1.

It was the first GNAC title for the Women’s Basketball Saints since the 2021-2022 season. The team will now face the No. 8 Bowdoin Polar Bears in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament on March 6. 

Against Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, Shea Canavan paced Emmanuel off the bench with 20 points, including four threes. Senior forward Megan Reilly finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Lia Krumian contributed 14 points and Tyra Blye scored 10 points.   

The Saints finished the season 12-0 in the conference.
