Each May, the College celebrates the accomplishments of its graduates during the formal Commencement Exercises on the Emmanuel campus.

During the event, we honor both the rich history of this event -- dating back to the first graduating class of pioneering women in 1923 -- and the graduates of today, who join the 20,000 alumni who have made an impact on the world.

Speakers and honorary degree recipients from the recent past include famed historian and author Doris Kearns Goodwin, groundbreaking sports journalist Jackie MacMullan, Reverend Liz Walker, and the late medical anthropologist and physician Paul Farmer.
