Video Conferencing
All Emmanuel students, faculty, and staff have licensed Zoom and Microsoft Teams accounts. These are collaboration solutions with text, voice, and video capabilities that empower our community to communicate ideas and coordinate with one another, even in remote settings.
Assistance in connecting user technologies to Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. Limitations of support are dependent upon the age, type, and proper operation of the requestor's device.
All Emmanuel-issued devices should have both Zoom and Teams pre-installed and pinned to the taskbar. To search for these programs on your Windows device, click Start and type in the name of the software you'd like to use.
For users logging into Zoom for the first time with their Emmanuel credentials, navigate to the Emmanuel Zoom homepage and select 'Sign in' to configure your account.
Classroom Technology for Teaching
Emmanuel has 100% of all teaching spaces configured with an audio/visual system to meet the needs of the Emmanuel community.
Emmanuel's classrooms contain some of the latest technology for presentations, lectures and educational videos. Each room is equipped with a control panel to manage the visual system (projector/display), an audio system, a classroom PC computer, and HDMI laptop connections. Many rooms are equipped with other technologies such as document cameras, DVD/VCR combo or DVD players, and video conferencing technology.
For laptops that require connections other than HDMI, faculty are encouraged to bring an appropriate adapter. Adapters and PowerPoint clickers can be loaned to faculty on a short-term basis if necessary.
All classrooms have a visual system (projector/display), audio system, computer, and DVD player by default. Spaces that have additional technology (larger 80" displays, document cameras, dual displays, etc.) can be requested through the Registrar's Office during their class scheduling process.
Our audio/visual systems use the video standard connections of VGA (all spaces) and HDMI (specific rooms). If planning to use a laptop or tablet with our systems, ensure you bring the correct adapter for compatibility with VGA or HDMI connections.
To request a specific classroom technology configuration, please contact the Registrar's Office.
The Office of the Registrar is located in the Administration Building, Room 340.
