The Counseling Center is committed to supporting the personal, social and academic development of students and the wellbeing of the Emmanuel community. As part of this commitment, the Counseling Center recognizes the need for specific outreach and engagement of our students who are the first in their family to attend college (First-Gen). Being the first in your family to attend college can lead to a number of additional stressors throughout application, matriculation, and graduation. From financial stress to family stress, the Counseling Center seeks to provide support to our First Gen students through both our clinical and outreach services.
