What is your favorite thing about Emmanuel College?
My favorite thing about Emmanuel is the strong sense of community students experience during their four years here. Being a heavily residential campus, students really feel at home and connected to others on campus from move-in day to graduation.
What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?
I love going on bike rides through the Emerald Necklace, seeing shows at Lyric Stage or any other local theatre, and catching a Red Sox game. There is always something fun to do in this city.
What is the one piece of advice you would give prospective students about the college process?
Stay open to new possibilities. It is okay if you do not have your career aspirations completely solidified right when starting college. One of the great parts of a school like Emmanuel is that you will take classes in a lot of different fields. College is a time for personal discovery and taking classes in something new teaches you not only about the world, but also about yourself.
What is the most exciting aspect of working in Admissions?
Meeting with prospective students! It’s always exciting to speak with interested students here at Emmanuel because they have such a wide array of interests in what they want to do in college. Any time I can help interested incoming students understand all they are capable of doing at Emmanuel I’m reminded of why working in Admissions is exciting.
