What is your favorite thing about Emmanuel College?

My favorite thing about Emmanuel is that the answer to “What can I do here?” is rarely short. A biology major can study abroad in Ecuador. A management major can intern at Dana-Farber. Students conduct research, join clubs, explore Boston and sometimes discover an entirely new direction along the way. There are a lot of ways to make Emmanuel your own.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

Visit the Boston Public Library. More than 20 million items, free Wi-Fi and people asking questions all day? It’s basically my dream vacation.

What is the most exciting aspect of working in Admissions?

The questions. I love questions. Easy questions, complicated questions, questions at 2:13 a.m. when you suddenly remember you meant to ask about housing three days ago. I don’t sleep. Please take advantage of this.

What is the one piece of advice you would give prospective students about the college process?
Stay curious. You might start with a major, but don’t stop there. Look at where students intern, what they research, the clubs they join and the experiences they have outside the classroom. The more you explore, the better your picture of a college gets. I’m always in favor of more information.
