What is your favorite thing about Emmanuel College?

My favorite thing about Emmanuel is the community. While in the heart of Boston, the true soul of Emmanuel is seen from the moment you step on campus. With small class sizes, ample student organizations and a residential campus, students can take advantage of the opportunities the city offers while being able to step out of the chaos and feel at home.

What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?

As a lover of theater and dance, my favorite thing to do in Boston is to see a show at any of the many performance spaces in the area. One of my favorite experiences was getting student tickets for the Hamilton National Tour at the Boston Opera House. My friend and I assumed that we would be in the nosebleeds (considering we only paid $30) but when we walked in the usher walked straight to the front row, so close we could read the orchestra’s sheet music. The local offerings and proximity to a hub of culture and Emmanuel’s participation in the Colleges of Fenway make it easy to experience the arts and the diverse perspectives they can share.

What is the one piece of advice you would give prospective students about the college process?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. When I was applying for college, I remember being scared to ask the “wrong thing.” But you don’t have to be! As Admissions Counselors, our goal is to not only share Emmanuel and its value with you, but also to help you figure out whether Emmanuel is the right fit. We know how stressful and overwhelming the process can be for students and families and will do anything we can to support you through the process. The more questions you ask and more things you share, the more opportunity we have to get to know you as a student and more importantly as a person.

What is the most exciting aspect of working in Admissions?

The most exciting part of working in Admissions is the people I get to meet. I love hearing what students are passionate about and how they hope to utilize their education to better the world around them. Everyone brings a unique perspective so having the opportunity to listen and learn inspires me.
