The Emmanuel women's basketball team won the 2020 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship on February 29th.
The Saints' victory over Saint Joseph's College in the Jean Yawkey Center gymnasium marked the second-consecutive GNAC Championship and the 17th in the program's history.
Individual members of the team were also honored. Loredana D'Agostino '23 amd Yuleska Ramirez-Tejada '20 were named members of the GNAC Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team, while Kayla Weaver '20 was named the 2020 GNAC Women's Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player.
With the win, the Saints earned an automatic spot in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball tournament. Emmanuel will take on New York University in the first round on March 6th at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
