President & Leadership

On October 29th, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker visited the Emmanuel College campus, touring the New Residence Hall and speaking at a breakfast event on his current agenda for the state.

The meeting, attended by a group of area business, hospital, health care and academic leaders, was an opportunity for the Governor to speak about his administration's work related to transportation, health care, the opioid crisis and education. Governor Baker praised Emmanuel for its ability to be nimble in times of change and for preparing students to work in growing fields, particularly in the Commonwealth.

Governor Baker congratulated Sr. Janet Eisner, SNDdeN on her 40 years as president and success in the "space and place Emmanuel has been operating in for a century. It is a huge accomplishment, and Emmanuel has never been in a better place to fulfill its mission."
