Emmanuel Business Collaborative Hosts Leaders in ESG

On April 6th, the Emmanuel College Business Collaborative, along with the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce hosted “A Conversation about ESG” to a crowd in the Janet M. Daley Library Lecture Hall. The event, sponsored by Amalgamated Bank, convened expert panelists discussing how environmental sustainability, social equity, and responsible corporate governance matters to businesses, investors, and the public sector in Boston.

Panelists included Cynthia Dalagelis, Director of ESG Investing at Amalgamated Bank, Tom Browne, Director of Economic Inclusion at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Betty Francisco, CEO of Boston Impact Initiative, and Segun Idowu, Chief of Economic Opportunity & Inclusion, the City of Boston.

Assistant Professor of Management Kelly Basile offered the introduction of speakers, who shared insights into the burgeoning area of Environmental, Social, and Governance. Through ESG, investors examine non-financial considerations in analyzing financial risk and growth.

Lecturer of Business & Economics John Barrett moderated a dynamic Q & A session with students, faculty, staff and guests.
