A weeklong program that merges graphic design and entrepreneurial business offers high school students a college-style academic experience in the heart of Boston

This summer, Emmanuel College will hold its Summer Residential Enrichment program for high school juniors and seniors, offering students the opportunity to take a one-week, college-style academic Creative Entrepreneur Bootcamp course, all while living on Emmanuel's campus.

Instructed by Emmanuel College faculty, the Summer Residential Enrichment program will run from July 21st–27th and is designed to provide students of all academic interests with an intensive learning experience that will allow them to attain practical and creative skills, engage their entrepreneurial spirit and help build their portfolios.

"Emmanuel's Summer Residential Enrichment programs offer opportunity and direction for exploration, which is so vital to the liberal arts and to what students will learn in college," says Dr. Lisa Stepanski, coordinator of Summer Residential Enrichment programs and Emmanuel's associate dean of humanities & social sciences/professor of English. "This is an incredible opportunity for students to get a feel for the engaging and collaborative environment that is the Emmanuel College experience.

"Working alongside peers and professionals in the epicenter of Boston, program participants will bridge the gap between education and the real world, the hands-on and the theoretical," added Stepanski. "The modern workforce demands individuals who can think strategically, conceive innovative and creative solutions, and communicate exceptionally well. The multifaceted and ever-evolving fields of design and business are ideal for developing these skills and others."

Emmanuel's Summer Residential Enrichment program is open to students of all academic interests, and does not require previous graphic design experience or entrepreneurial knowledge.
