The Chapel Portico of the Eisner Administration Building has served as an iconic “front door” of Emmanuel College for over a century.
Its steps have been the setting of countless selfies, marriage proposals, wedding photos, and special moments in the life of our College community. In its ornate details and engravings, it stands as an enduring symbol of Emmanuel’s inheritance as a Catholic college rooted in the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Over the years, exposure to the elements has caused the structure to deteriorate, and it is currently closed for safety reasons. Yet it won’t stay that way. In partnership with alumni from across the decades and other supporters, the College is launching an effort to restore this architectural gem and secure it as a symbol of the vitality of Emmanuel’s mission in its second century.
