Julie Briere is a passionate and dedicated nursing educator with a wealth of experience in academic instruction and pediatric clinical practice.
 
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She practiced in various healthcare settings as a bedside RN for 20 years before going on to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from Northeastern University.
 
As a nursing professor, Julie brings a wealth of clinical experience to the classroom. Her faculty position as Associate Professor in Nursing at Emmanuel College in conjunction with her hospital credentialing at Boston Children’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Lahey Medical Center make her a sought-after resource for students and faculty.
 
Julie is known for her dynamic teaching style, her ability to engage students, and her passion for mentoring the next generation of nurses. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Julie is actively involved in nursing research and quality improvement projects in academic and clinical settings.
 
Outside of academia and hospital commitments, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Justin, and two sons Keegan and Cooper, visiting the ocean, and playing with her dog Ellie.
