Erich Doubek
Professor of Art - Chair
I have been a designer for over a decade with much of that time spent as a motion and interactive designer. I received my MFA in new media design from the Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Since Graduating from the University of Connecticut with a BFA in Graphic Design, I worked my way up through the design world, from Junior Print Designer to Creative Director for media company reaching over two million people a day on a national WiFi network. Through out that journey my career has allowed me the opportunity to work in print, motion, and interactive on diverse projects for clients such as the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Cambridge Friends School, General Motors, PBS, Columbine Floral, Legacy Recordings, and Starbucks among others.
In my teaching, I have worked to infuse all my experience in communication design into my curriculum. I strive to create current and challenging projects in print, motion and interactive so that my students can enter the design world with fresh and competitive set of skills and a personal design aesthetic.
