Deferral of Admission to Emmanuel College Policy
A student may defer their admission for up to one academic year. Should the student not enroll within one academic year, the deferral is voided, and the student will need to reapply to Emmanuel College.
A student must have paid their enrollment deposit for Emmanuel College to be eligible to defer admission. This deposit confirms your space in the enrolling class which the student deferred. Should the student not enroll at Emmanuel College within one academic year, the deposit is non-refundable and will be forfeited.
A student may not enroll at another college, university, or post-graduate institution as a matriculated/degree seeking student during the period of deferral. A student may take college classes for credit part-time with a maximum of 12 credits. If you do enroll at another school full-time during the deferral period, your deferral will be canceled, and you will be required to reapply to Emmanuel College.
The merit scholarship that you have received will be honored for up to one year. Need-based financial aid will need to be reapplied by completing the FAFSA for the appropriate academic year in which you enroll.
You are responsible for notifying the Office of Admissions at Emmanuel College of any changes to your contact information including email, phone, and mailing address.
