Policies applying to the different GPP student populations will be outlined below.

Undergraduate-level courses must have a grade of C (2.0) or higher and be worth three or more semester credit hours in order to be eligible for credit. Courses that are worth 3 semester credits at the undergraduate level will be accepted as 4 credits at Emmanuel.

Undergraduate GPP students may earn college credit before or after acceptance by taking any of the following examinations: CLEP and DSST. Credits earned through documentation of college-level learning are considered transfer credits. The link below outlines the CLEP exam and Emmanuel equivalencies/requirement fulfillment, along with the minimum passing score for transfer credit and the number of credits awarded per exam. Per the American Council on Education (ACE) guidelines, a score of 50 is deemed the equivalent of a C (2.0) for transfer purposes. A student may earn a maximum of 32 credits through credit by examination (CLEP and DSST).
