Steps to pursue Temporary Accommodations:

  • Student should submit documentation from their diagnosing provider to accommodations [at] emmanuel.edu (accommodations[at]emmanuel[dot]edu)
  • Documentation can include a letter or report written on official letterhead, signed by an evaluator, or evaluator’s can complete the Emmanuel College Medical Verification Form

  • Once documentation is received, SAA will arrange a formal intake meeting with the student to implement temporary services.  At this meeting, the documentation will be reviewed, and reasonable temporary accommodations will be determined.

Student Accessibility and Accommodations (SAA) recognizes that individuals with temporarily disabling conditions, that are a result of injuries, surgeries, or short-term disabilities, may need short-term accommodations. Temporary accommodation is determined on an individual basis based upon documented need.

Temporary disabilities could include, but are not limited to:

  • Concussions,
  • Orthopedic injuries,
  • Short-term disabilities following a surgery/illness/medical treatment
