Dietary Needs and Dining Resources

Students with dietary needs are encouraged to work directly with Bon Appétit to learn about available dining options and resources. Bon Appétit offers a range of supports for students managing food allergies, intolerances, and other dietary needs, and many needs can be accommodated within the existing dining program and meal plan.

Robin Fortado (Robin.Fortado [at] cafebonappetit.com (Robin[dot]Fortado[at]cafebonappetit[dot]com)), General Manager of Bon Appétit at Emmanuel College, is the primary contact for students seeking information about dining accommodations and can discuss available options and levels of support on a case-by-case basis.

Students may also contact Daniele Rossner (Daniele.Rossner [at] cafebonappetit.com), Regional Manager of Nutrition and Wellness for Bon Appétit, to discuss special dietary needs or general nutrition.

Bon Appétit offers different levels of support to meet dietary needs within existing meal plans. Students are encouraged to engage with available dining resources before additional accommodations are considered.

Formal Dietary Accommodations

Students who have already been in contact with Bon Appétit and are seeking formal dining accommodations should work with Student Accessibility and Accommodations (SAA) to complete the necessary paperwork.

Step 1: Submit Dietary Accommodation Documentation to EC Accommodate

Step 2: Connect with Dining Services

SAA will connect students with Robin Fortado to discuss their dietary needs and available dining accommodations. Students will have the opportunity to review dining options, discuss available supports, and address any concerns.

Step 3: Follow-Up

Students should maintain communication with Bon Appétit throughout the process and may contact Dining Services with questions or changes to their dietary needs.

Daniele Rossner, Regional Manager of Nutrition and Wellness for Bon Appétit, is also available to meet with students via Zoom regarding special dietary needs or general nutrition.
