It has been an honor to serve over the last few years on the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large, Treasurer, Vice President, and President. In each of these roles, alongside my colleagues, I have been able to assist with transforming Board operations to ensure better representation and focus our work on issues that are reflective of the priorities of both the College and today’s alumni community.
I want to serve as President to use my institutional and community knowledge to represent the interests of all alumni. I want to ensure that the institution that helped shape me, personally and professionally, is actively working to engage alumni across generations while pragmatically adapting to fit the constantly changing needs of current and prospective students. I want to identify ways to ensure alumni feel connected to the Emmanuel community, knowing that they have a voice with respect to the ongoings of the institution. It is critical, now more than ever, that we identify innovative ways to increase engagement of all alumni, locally and remotely, so that we can elevate the talents and assets of our global community.
Furthermore, I want to continue to raise awareness among alumni that the moment you graduate you are a member of the EC Alumni Association. While this comes with benefits such as continued access to some campus resources, we all still have a vested interest in the growth and sustainability of the College. Whether you are able to stay involved by volunteering your time, dedicating resources, or both, any level of involvement is critical to contributing to the value of the education Emmanuel can provide.
I have been honored to serve on the Emmanuel College Alumni Association Board of Directors since my appointment in January 2022, and I am deeply committed to continuing this work in service of Emmanuel’s mission and community. Professionally, I bring over ten years of experience in higher education and student affairs, grounded in an understanding of student development, leadership education, and inclusive campus engagement. My work centers on creating environments where individuals feel a strong sense of belonging, connection, and purpose which are values that align closely with Emmanuel’s identity and Jesuit mission.
Personally, I bring a genuine love for Emmanuel College and a strong desire to ensure the institution continues to meet the evolving needs of its increasingly diverse student body and alumni community. Serving on the Board has allowed me to meaningfully contribute ideas, collaborate with fellow alumni leaders, and engage directly with College leadership to better understand the current student experience. These opportunities have sharpened my perspective as both a student affairs practitioner and an alumna, strengthening my commitment to advocacy, access, and inclusivity. I am excited to continue leveraging my professional expertise, personal passion, and collaborative leadership style to support the Alumni Association’s mission and to help foster lifelong connection and engagement within the Emmanuel community.
When I was asked by a fellow classmate four years ago to run for the Board, I was initially hesitant. I was not sure of what I could offer as a Director-at-Large. I had not been active as an Alumni since I moved away from Massachusetts after graduation in 1974. However, I realized after much contemplation that I could bring a different perspective to the Board. I could demonstrate that an Alumni who wanted to be involved in the College but lived over 1300 miles away still has an important role. I could also demonstrate that it is not too late to get involved with the College especially after retirement.
I have a desire to give back to the College not just with financial support but with my personal time and effort. I have discovered a renewed appreciation for the College and what is provided me both personally and professionally. I want to continue my support by being a Director-at-Large for another two years.
The Alumni Board is a remarkable opportunity because Emmanuel’s mission has always aligned with the core of who I am as an athletic administrator, family man and colleague. I am a Saint through and through, passionate about providing a well-rounded student-athlete experience guided by three core values: community engagement + service, social justice and equitable inclusion. These pillars will always be part of my professional identity. While my career experience and MBA make me a desirable candidate to sit on the board, my character, moral compass and values qualify me to lead and inspire future generations of Saints. As a former D-III student-athlete at Emmanuel, strong role models influenced my development, shaping my leadership and coaching style.
I am proud to be a graduate of Emmanuel College. In the years following my graduation, I was active with the Alumni Board, but as my family grew, I had limited time to volunteer. I knew that I would get back eventually and when my children were grown. Two years ago I had that opportunity when I was elected to the Alumni Association Board. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving on the board and having the opportunity to connect with alumni in my class and others, while hopefully strengthening our community and connection to the College. In the years since graduating, I have enjoyed watching Emmanuel evolve, without ever losing sight of its core mission. It has been an honor to play a role in that as a Board member, and I am grateful to be able to give back to the college that has given me so much. I look forward to the opportunity to do so for another two years.
I'm bringing my corporate project management experience to help the Alumni Board succeed.

While much of my coursework focused on the concepts of crime and punishment, the core of the curriculum centered around developing a safer, more equitable future through community building, mutual aid, and systemic support.
During my final semester, I was a part of a student-intern team at the Boston Municipal Courts, where I worked closely with victims and offenders, guiding them to beneficial resources available through the courts.
Since graduating Emmanuel College, the focus of my professional work has been in providing aid to at-risk populations. At Community Resources for Justice my work focused primarily on community building with different populations in our care. In my current role at Big Brothers Big Sisters, my work is more specialized as I develop, organize, and manage different programs to deliver life-changing mentoring relationships to Boston’s at-risk youth. These experiences, combined with my work and research I have done with the Institute for Eastern Mediterranean Studies, have given me a deep understanding of individual challenges as they relate to large social and political trends. I have been able to take my education and professional background to inform how I implement community support to create and measure long-term positive outcomes
Overall, my background in criminal justice, political science, law, and community aid brings a unique perspective and fiery passion for Emmanuel’s mission of ushering in the next generation of compassionate community leaders and critical thinkers. I hope to integrate these values into my work on the alumni board by creating programs that strengthen and sustain alumni’s relationships with one another and Emmanuel College.
I offer a relatable perspective for Emmanuel College students trying to navigate the new landscape that they will be joining soon. As someone who benefitted greatly from my time at Emmanuel College, I would like to try to make sure as many students as possible can get the same or similar experience as I did, and be set up for success in their next chapter after Emmanuel College, as I was. What I lack in professional experience, I believe I make up for with my personal experience as a young adult attempting to join a professional field.
As a faith-based and mission driven institution, Emmanuel College lives in my heart. As a student, over 10 years ago, I hold my experiences and memories of my time there very close to me as they shaped me into the person I am today. My natural love for higher education was formulated here and transcended me into a career path I never dreamed of going down. As a practitioner of higher education, I credit my career to my undergraduate experiences at Emmanuel College. I believe firmly in the catholic mission and the ways in which that resonates within the community, curriculum, and mission of Emmanuel College. During my time in higher education, I have come to love to serve students and families. As a Director for the Alumni Association, my hopes would be to spread awareness through meaningful connections and conversation with fellow alumni, community stakeholders, and students and families to continue to spread Emmanuel's mission.
Lastly, I have extensive knowledge and skills in the marketing arena, specifically social media— I run all the social media in my current position at Endicott College, where our curated content is centered around Alumni Spotlights, Programming Overview highlights, Event Awareness, and more! My skills in this area would be an asset to the Alumni Association.
I am a Boston native and currently work for Boston Public Schools, where I bring professional experience in project management, grant oversight, and collaboration with school leaders to support initiatives that benefit students and communities. Through my work, I have developed strong skills in financial stewardship, problem-solving, and building partnerships across teams. Personally, I have a deep connection to Emmanuel College and its community. My mother graduated from Emmanuel and is an alumna, and I also attended Emmanuel where I earned my master’s degree. Having two generations of my family connected to the college—along with our roots in the surrounding Boston neighborhood—gives me a strong appreciation for Emmanuel’s mission and community impact. I would be honored to contribute my perspective, professional skills, and commitment to service to help strengthen engagement among alumni and support the continued growth of Emmanuel College.
As a mid-market Account Executive at Lucid Software, I bring strategic sales expertise and relationship-building skills that directly support the Alumni Association's goals around engagement, fundraising, and growth. My experience closing enterprise deals, building partnerships, and executing go-to-market strategies translates naturally to advancing the Board's objectives.
Personally, I've recently become a father and relocated to Newport, Rhode Island, which has given me a renewed appreciation for strong networks and the importance of giving back to institutions that shaped us. I'm actively building community connections and understand how transformative alumni relationships can be at every career stage.
What I offer the Board: a results-oriented approach to growth, proven relationship-building skills, and a bias toward execution over ideas. I don't just identify opportunities - I make them happen. Whether it's increasing alumni participation, developing fundraising strategies, or launching new engagement programs, I deliver measurable results.
I'm committed to strengthening Emmanuel College's alumni community and would be honored to contribute to the Board's mission.
As an Emmanuel College alum, I bring to the Alumni Association Board both a strong professional foundation and a deep personal connection to the Emmanuel community that helped shape my values and career. I am also a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, and I appreciate the shared Catholic identity and educational tradition rooted in the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur that connects both institutions. With more than 20 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, I have built a career around relationship building, thoughtful leadership, and helping mission driven organizations navigate complex challenges. Personally, I am motivated by a strong sense of gratitude and service, and I am especially inspired by Emmanuel’s continued commitment to expanding opportunity, reflected in initiatives like the Saints Catholic Connection partnership with NDA Hingham. I would approach board service with care, collaboration, and energy, working to strengthen alumni engagement and support Emmanuel’s long-term success.
Over the past decade, I have built and scaled businesses rooted in community, logistics, marketing, and systems execution. Through Bees & Thank You and The Hive Food Truck Collective, I have managed large-scale event operations, developed collaborative vendor networks, and created revenue-generating platforms that integrate branding, staffing, and experiential engagement. My professional strength lies in turning ideas into structured, sustainable systems.
Beyond operations, I bring a deep commitment to mentorship and experiential learning. I have personally interned and mentored students within live business environments, giving them exposure to real customers, financial accountability, marketing strategy, and operational decision-making. I understand how to translate classroom concepts into measurable outcomes.
From a personal perspective, I lead with service. My work has always centered on creating platforms that benefit not only the business, but the broader community. I value long-term thinking, transparency, and collaborative problem-solving. I am comfortable building partnerships, aligning stakeholders, and executing initiatives that require both creativity and discipline.
On the Alumni Association Board, I would contribute strategic thinking, execution capability, and a bias toward building systems that endure beyond individual leadership cycles. I bring relationships within the local business ecosystem, experience in sponsorship development, and a proven ability to activate ideas into functioning programs.
I offer not just perspective — but infrastructure thinking, mentorship, and implementation.
As a graduate of Emmanuel College, I seek to serve on the Alumni Association Board of Directors to give back to an institution that has significantly shaped my personal and professional growth. Emmanuel provided a rigorous academic foundation, a strong sense of community, and enduring values that continue to inform my work, particularly in service, leadership, and responsibility to others.
Professionally, I offer extensive experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors, with a comprehensive understanding of governance, operations, and organizational leadership. In my current position as Program Manager at Harvard University, I oversee complex administrative and financial operations across multiple departments and collaborate with senior leaders to advance strategic initiatives. Previously, at Partners In Health, I worked directly with executive leadership and board committees, supporting meetings, onboarding new board members, tracking priorities, and ensuring implementation of key initiatives. These roles have provided me with a clear understanding of board functions and how engaged board members can effectively advance an organization’s mission.
I also bring a collaborative and practical approach to service. I value listening, preparation, and accountability, and I understand the importance of balancing thoughtful discussion with action. My background in project management and operations enables me to contribute constructively, support committee work, and advance initiatives.
In addition to my professional experience, I am actively engaged in community-based arts and cultural work. I am currently a Board Member of Jean Appolon Dance Expressions, a Boston-based nonprofit dance organization dedicated to preserving Haitian folkloric dance and promoting cultural education and social justice. My involvement reflects a broader commitment to community engagement, the arts, and service values that align closely with Emmanuel College’s mission.
On a personal level, my connection to Emmanuel is both long-standing and deeply meaningful. Emmanuel is where I earned my undergraduate degree and developed the confidence and skills that have supported my career in higher education and nonprofit organizations. I am committed to the continued success of the College and to fostering opportunities for alumni to remain connected, engaged, and supportive of current students and each other.
Serving on the Emmanuel College Alumni Association Board of Directors would allow me to contribute my experience, perspective, and dedication in support of Emmanuel and its alumni community. I would be honored to serve and to help strengthen the bonds between the College and its graduates.
As a proud member of Emmanuel College’s Class of 2024, I bring to the Alumni Association Board a perspective grounded in mentorship, service, and a commitment to the pre-health community that shaped my own journey. As a Biology major with a Neuroscience minor on the pre-medical track, my time at Emmanuel was defined by both academic rigor and meaningful engagement with peers pursuing similar aspirations.
Professionally, I currently work at Boston Children’s Hospital while applying to medical school, experiences that have deepened my understanding of compassionate, patient-centered care. Working in a clinical environment has strengthened my communication skills, professionalism, and ability to navigate high-responsibility settings—qualities that I also bring to leadership and alumni engagement.
At Emmanuel, I served as a STEM Peer Mentor and ARC Tutor, and I now continue to mentor pre-health students as they prepare for careers in medicine and other health professions. Supporting students through course selection, application preparation, and moments of self-doubt has been one of the most meaningful extensions of my Emmanuel experience. I understand firsthand how transformative strong mentorship and alumni guidance can be, and I am passionate about creating structured pathways for current students to connect with alumni in healthcare and beyond.
Personally, I offer initiative, strong networking skills, and a deep sense of loyalty to the Emmanuel community. I believe the Alumni Association plays a vital role in bridging past and present students, especially for those navigating competitive professional tracks. I would be honored to contribute to initiatives that expand mentorship opportunities, strengthen alumni-student connections, and cultivate a supportive network that reflects Emmanuel’s mission of service, ethics, and lifelong learning.
1. A Deep, Well‑Rounded Connection to the Emmanuel Community
I was highly engaged on campus through multiple programs, which gives me a broad and authentic understanding of student life and community culture. My involvement in ACE, SuperFans, and serving as a marketing coordinator helped me develop strong relationships across departments and understand how to drive engagement, build school spirit, and create inclusive experiences. My time as a student‑athlete on the soccer team and as a SMART member working basketball games also gives me a unique perspective on athletics, teamwork, and student support.
2. Experience in Large‑Scale Community and Fundraising Initiatives
My work with the Boston Dance Marathon fundraising foundation helped me develop skills in volunteer coordination, donor outreach, mission‑driven communication, and event fundraising. I understand how to motivate large groups toward a common philanthropic goal, which can be valuable as the alumni association works to increase participation, engagement, and giving.
3. Professional Expertise in Events, Engagement, and Client Experience
In my current role as an Event Manager at the Sheraton Commander Hotel, I bring events to life by translating client needs into meaningful, well‑executed experiences. I collaborate with diverse teams, manage logistics, oversee budgets, and ensure high‑quality outcomes. These skills directly support the association’s efforts to plan alumni events, improve attendance, and build a consistent and memorable brand for Emmanuel alumni programming.
4. Strong Ties to the Greater Boston Events Community
As an active member of ILEA Boston, I am connected to a wide network of event professionals and creative partners. This allows me to bring fresh ideas, industry best practices, and potential collaborations to the alumni association—whether for signature events, networking opportunities, or community‑building initiatives.
5. A Passion for Strengthening Alumni Engagement
What I ultimately bring is genuine passion. Emmanuel played a major role in my personal and professional development, and I am committed to helping current students and fellow alumni feel connected beyond graduation. Whether through event strategy, marketing insight, community outreach, or student‑alumni programs, I am excited to contribute energy, creativity, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
