At Emmanuel, we believe that practicing chemistry and physics in the lab or in daily life opens the mind to critical thinking and problem solving. Our students collaborate with faculty on real-world research and, as early as their first year, get a true sense of what it means to study and practice at the graduate and professional level. They are offered unmatched opportunities to engage and interact in the subject through our state-of-the-art Maureen Murphy Wilkens Science Center, which is equipped with the modern instrumentation and computer technology used intensively in laboratory courses and student-directed research.

Emmanuel's chemistry program is accredited by the American Chemical Society (ACS), the world's largest scientific society and a leading promoter of excellence in chemistry education. ACS-approved programs denote a wide-ranging and rigorous chemistry education that gives students the intellectual, technical and communication skills to become effective scientific professionals.
