Center for Mission Engagement Programming

The Center for Mission Engagement offers programs for the entire Emmanuel College community including our students, faculty and staff, as well as our alumni, to further engage in our Catholic identity and the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

The Center's annual programs include:

SND Jubilee Fund Walk

This annual walk supports the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur missions in both South America and Africa. Students from the 1804 Society are joined by their peers, faculty and staff in an effort to raise funds for international mission support. The walk is in the beginning of the fall semester and is held on Castle Island in South Boston. Walkers may walk any distance they are comfortable with, and the key, of course, is to encourage people to sponsor them.

Soup and Spirit Lunch

Soup and Spirit Lunch offers faculty, staff and students the opportunity to listen to a member of the Emmanuel College community share their experience of "seeking" around a particular theme influenced by the SND mission, followed by one-on-one and large group reflection. Soup and Spirit Lunch is co-sponsored by Campus Ministry, Office of Residence Life and Housing, and The Center for Mission Engagement.

Supper with the Sisters

Supper with the Sisters brings together Emmanuel College students with Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur from around the world to share in discussion and a meal. Through this program, students learn about what the Sisters are doing today to live out the mission of St. Julie Billiart globally.
