The beginning of each academic year is an exciting time for the entire Emmanuel community.
Students moving into campus for the year have an array of new courses, opportunities, schedule adjustments, and more before them—and for some, it’s their first time living away from home.
At Emmanuel College, we pride ourselves in offering our students a high-quality residential experience, where they enhance their education within a dynamic living-learning environment. Living in a community of peers brings exciting opportunities for every student, beginning with moving into their residential space.

What to expect on move-in day
- Students will arrive to campus at their move-in time and will be welcomed in the Library Parking Lot. From the library lot, vehicles will be guided to our residence hall parking lot where we will ask that the vehicle is backed into a parking space. Student leaders will meet the vehicle with a moving bin, assist with emptying the vehicle and will escort the bin to the fall housing assignment. Empty vehicles will need to be moved to long term parking which is provided at a Beth Israel Parking area located next to the Merck research building.
- IDs will provide access to residence hall entrances and rooms, except St. Joe’s Hall where students will be given a door code. New students will get their Emmanuel ID upon arrival.
- A limited number of moving bins will be available to assist with the moving process during scheduled move in dates, we also recommend bringing dollies or other items that may assist with move in. Moving bins are not available for early arrivals.
- Resident Assistants and Orientation leaders will be in the residence halls answering questions and providing assistance during new student move in.
