Meet the Campus Safety Staff

Edward Amodeo
Director of Campus Safety 
Edward is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Massachusetts State Police with thirty years of service. Some of his prior assignments were: Division Commander of Field Services with responsibility for over 1500 officers and 39 State Police Barracks, Troop Commanding Officer of Troop A, Troop Executive Officer of Troop A, and Commanding Officer of the State Police Andover Barracks. Edward joined Emmanuel in 2019.


Mark Frenzo
Campus Safety Captain
Mark is a retired Detective Lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of his prior assignments were Unit Commander of a Statewide Detective Unit/FBI Task Force,  Supervisor/Investigator for the SP Detective/Narcotic Units in Bristol County, Middlesex County, and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. Mark joined Emmanuel in 2021.
 

Jose Alejandro
Lieutenant

Jose served with the Massachusetts State Police for 32 years. Assigned to Troops A, C, E and F as a trooper first class and field trainer. He was assigned to the Suffolk County District Attorney Office Narcotics Unit, the statewide central narcotics unit, and the Attorney General’s Office as a lead investigator and in an undercover capacity. He was attached to various State, Local and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies as part of joint investigative task forces and drug eradication initiatives. Jose joined Emmanuel in 2023.
 

Lisa Buckley
Lieutenant

Lisa is a retired Detective Lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of her prior assignments were Unit Commander of the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, Supervisor/Investigator for the SP Detective/Narcotic Units in Norfolk County, and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. Lisa joined Emmanuel in 2022.


Dave Burke
Lieutenant

Dave is a retired Lieutenant from the Massachusetts State Police. In his 33-year career Dave spent time assigned to the Violent Fugitive Arrest Squad and the Homicide unit of the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. His last 15 years were spent as a supervisor in the Division of Field Services, finishing up as the Barracks Commander of the State Police Tunnels Barracks. He joined Emmanuel in April of 2021. 


Robert Favuzza
Lieutenant

Bob is a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Massachusetts State Police. Prior to retiring in 2020, he commanded the Division of Standards and Training with responsibility and oversight of the Internal Affairs Unit as well as the inspection process for the State Police. In this capacity, Bob also was responsible for the development and approval of all State Police training to include, recruit and in-service training. Prior to this assignment Bob was the Division Commander of Field Services, a Troop Commander, and Commanding Officer of the Medford Barracks. Bob is also a graduate of Harvard University’s National Preparedness Leadership Initiative – Cohort XII. Bob joined Emmanuel in 2022.
 

John J. Kelly
Lieutenant

John is a former paramedic and a retired Lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of his prior assignments were: The MSP Mounted Unit (horses), the Massachusetts State House, Unit Commander of the Troop H Community Action Team, and Commanding Officer of the State Police Boston Barracks that has patrol responsibility for The Fenway. John joined Emmanuel College in 2022.


Andrews Kyere
Sergeant

Andy is a retired US Army First Sergeant. Some of his prior assignments were: First Sergeant 399th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Devens MA, First Sergeant 312th Medical Logistics Company Seagoville, TX. Team Lead Observer Controller and Trainer (OC/T) 78th Training Division Naval Station, Newport RI. Andy has four combat tours under his belt - Operation Joint Guardian - Kosovo,  Operation Iraqi Freedom - Iraq and Operation Enduring Freedom - Kuwait/Afghanistan. Andy's awards include Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation medal, Army Achievement Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal just to mention a few. Andy is also a Biochemist and managed the bioassay and microbiology labs at the State Lab for 17 years. Andy joined Emmanuel in 2004.


Paul Letsche
Lieutenant

Paul is a retired Lieutenant with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of his prior assignments were Executive Officer Staff inspections, Executive Officer Narcotics Inspection Unit, Troop "H" Shift Supervisor State Police Framingham, Team leader for North and South Teams State Fire Marshal's Office, Sergeant Public Affairs Unit and Division of Field Services State Police Weston, State Police Sturbridge. Paul joined Emmanuel College in 2018.


Brian X. Lilly
Lieutenant

Brian is a retired Detective Captain with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of his prior assignments were: Bureau Commander Statewide Investigations, Unit Commander Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and Supervisor/Investigator Essex County District Attorney's Office. Brian joined Emmanuel in 2009.  


Denis C. Mahoney
Lieutenant

Denis is a retired Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police with forty years of service. Some of his prior assignments were with Troops A, C, E, and H, as a Division of Field Services Supervisor, Patrol Supervisor and Troop Headquarters Shift Commander. During his many years of service, Denis has also functioned as a field training officer. Denis joined Emmanuel in 2022.


Dermot P. Moriarty
Lieutenant 
Dermot is a retired Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police. Some of his prior assignments were: Supervisor/Investigator Norfolk County District Attorney's Office, Investigator Massachusetts Attorney General's Office Criminal Investigation division, SP Framingham, SP Foxboro. Dermot joined Emmanuel in 2012. 


Faustin Mukuna
Sergeant
Faustin is a 18 year veteran of Emmanuel College Campus Safety beginning his career in 2004. During that time Faustin has served Emmanuel Students, Faculty, and Staff as a patrol officer, working in the traffic booth, and also working in the residence halls providing security and access control. Faustin speaks five languages and was recently promoted to Campus Safety Sergeant in 2022.


Jose Negron
Sergeant
Jose is a 19 year veteran of Emmanuel College Campus Safety beginning his career in 2003. Prior to his promotion to sergeant, Jose served the Emmanuel Community as a patrol officer. As a long-term member of the Campus Safety Leadership Team, Jose has conducted recruitment activities and screening of new campus safety officers. Recently, he has also served on promotional selection boards for the rank of sergeant. Jose also works for the Boston Police Department.
