Four Saints Earn All-ECAC Indoor Track Honors

With the Saints competing on their home practice track, Emmanuel notched All-ECAC performances in the men's 400m and the men's 4x400m relay at the ECAC New England Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Emmanuel College sent four athletes to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center in Boston. With the Saints competing on their home practice track, Emmanuel notched All-ECAC performances in the men's 400m and the men's 4x400m relay.
Adam Julien '15 took home All-ECAC honors in two events on Saturday. He placed 6th overall in his individual 400m race, finishing with a time of 49.67. Improving on his 7th place ECAC finish in 2013, this was Julien's second-consecutive year earning All-ECAC honors in the 400m. In his second individual event, Julien ran 20th overall in the 200m, clocking in at 22.72. He was later part of the All-ECAC 4x400m relay team.
Ryan Thomas '15 also qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 400m. Thomas turned in a 51.01 finish to snag the 18th position overall.
Thomas then ran the lead-off leg for the men's 4x400m relay team with a 51.51 first lap. Team captain Chris Baker '14 turned in a 51.32 lap-two performance. Ben Perdue '14 clocked a 51.68 third lap, while Julien anchored the squad with his 49.92 finish. Their combined time of 3:24.43 put the team in 7th place overall and earned the squad All-ECAC honors for the second-straight year.
