The Jean Yawkey Center for Community Leadership at Emmanuel College provides scholarship, internship and fellowship opportunities for students.

Yawkey Scholarships
The JYCCL awards scholarships to junior and seniors in recognition of their outstanding participation in service and leadership programs sponsored by the center.

Jean Yawkey Center for Community Leadership Internship
Students seeking an internship have the opportunity to apply for the Jean Yawkey Center for Community Leadership Internship a selective, paid internship at one of the College's partner agencies.
 
Summer Community Service Fellowship
The Summer Community Service Fellowship program sponsored by the JYCCL provides students with on-campus housing, a stipend, a monthly T pass and meal tickets to the Emmanuel dining hall.  Fellows service either full time or part time with one of Emmanuel's community partner organizations.  Fellows meet weekly with each other and various members of the faculty and administration for dinner and discussion on their summer experience.

Emmanuel Awarded Cummings Foundation Grant for Service Initiatives

In May 2019, Emmanuel College was selected as one of 100 Boston-area nonprofits to receive a $100,000 grant through Cummings Foundation's "$100K for 100" program. The grant will help support service initiatives through Emmanuel's Cardinal Seán O'Malley Center for Mission & Ministry.

Although half a world away in Pakistan, Justin Prairie '05 is never far from Emmanuel and Boston. A foreign service officer with the U.S. State Department, Justin currently works on political and military affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan.
