The Jean Yawkey Center for Community Leadership is dedicated to developing service opportunities and leadership skills for Emmanuel College students and providing programs for young people in Boston area schools and community organizations.

The Jean Yawkey Center for Community Leadership is dedicated to developing service opportunities and leadership skills for Emmanuel students and providing programs for young people in Boston area schools and community organizations. Established in 2004 and supported by a generous grant from the Yawkey Foundation, the Center also offers scholarships and paid internship and summer fellowship opportunities to keep students involved in the greater community. The Center also supports service learning courses designed to connect student's values and interests to action and impact. In these hands-on electives, students give local organizations meaningful support while gaining significant experience that extends their classroom out into the community.

Emmanuel Awarded Cummings Foundation Grant for Service Initiatives

In May 2019, Emmanuel College was selected as one of 100 Boston-area nonprofits to receive a $100,000 grant through Cummings Foundation's "$100K for 100" program. The grant will help support service initiatives through Emmanuel's Cardinal Seán O'Malley Center for Mission & Ministry.
