ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway

Through Emmanuel’s partnership with ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway, local youth gain meaningful summer work experience through ABCD’s SummerWorks program.

Emmanuel College supports the ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway Neighborhood Service Center in its SummerWorks Program. The program provides low-income local youth, ages 14-21, with meaningful summer jobs, education, and counseling and leadership training. Each year, Emmanuel sponsors the placement of several youth at participating worksites, creating a strong partnership between young residents of the neighborhood and the surrounding institutions.

Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD), the largest anti-poverty agency in New England, offers basic services and innovative programs to provide residents with opportunities that can empower them to become self-reliant and make better decisions for themselves, their families and their communities.

The ABCD Parker Hill/Fenway Neighborhood Service Center (PHF) is ABCD's neighborhood base serving the Mission Hill, Fenway and Lower Roxbury communities. This center serves more than 2,600 clients a year through services and programs such as civics and ESOL classes, financial literacy and job readiness workshops for adults and teens, a senior center, food pantry, immigration and citizenship advocacy and more.
