To Members of the Emmanuel College Community,
Two days ago, I provided a major update on the College’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the centerpiece of which was a move to online-only classes through the end of March. Since then, both the magnitude of the outbreak and the urgency to act have increased.
As a result of fast-moving developments, the College has determined to extend online-only classes through the end of the spring semester.
While this move from face-to-face to remote instruction is unprecedented, I want to emphasize that the College remains operational, and that everything is in place for students to complete Spring 2020 courses and fulfill academic requirements. Our faculty is prepared to offer a high-quality and dynamic experience when online courses commence on Wednesday, March 18th.

Resident students will receive a follow-up e-mail from the Office of Residence Life regarding next steps for a voluntary retrieval of belongings.
All College staff members are working diligently to ensure a successful transition to online instruction and to help community members resolve specific challenges.
