Emmanuel students may apply for a number of federal grants and scholarships.
Emmanuel participates in all federal aid programs. Eligibility for these programs is determined by your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) information, so we encourage you to complete the application as soon as possible. If you are found eligible for any of these federal awards, they will appear on your award letter.
The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant from the federal government for undergraduate students with significant financial need. The maximum amount for 2023-2024 is $7,395 and is based on the student's financial need.
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a federal need-based grant for undergraduate students with significant financial need. Awarded on a funds-available basis to students who are recipients of the Federal Pell Grant. The typical award amount is $1,000.
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant is a federal grant of $4,000 maximum awarded annually to students intending to teach full time for at least four years in a TEACH-approved field. The Federal Children of Fallen Heroes Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students who are Pell Grant eligible and whose parent or guardian died in the line of duty while performing as a public safety officer. The student must have been less than 24 years old or enrolled at an institution of higher education at the time of the parent or guardian's death. The maximum Pell Grant amount will be awarded and an EFC of zero will be used to package all Federal Student Aid, without regard to the student's FAFSA EFC.
