Meet Pat V., one of your 2013-14 Admissions Ambassadors!
Name: Pat V.
Class Year: 2016
Hometown: Wethersfield, Conn.
High School: Wethersfield High School
Major: Counseling & Health Psychology
Activities: Varsity Lacrosse. Psychology Club, 1804 Society
Location in Boston: Fenway Park
EC Tradition: Midnight Madness
Professor: Ryan Peterson (Psychology) - he made the class relatable and always looked for new ways to have his students as engaged as possible in the material.
Class: First Year Writing - it was like no other English or writing class I took in high school. The professor really wanted us to explore our minds and develop our own styles of writing. There was a lot of peer editing and feedback to improve our writing styles.
Why you came to EC: I came to Emmanuel College mainly because it is a small school located in a big city. This allows me to have a closer relationship with my professors while also having all the benefits of living in a big city. I grew up as a Boston sports fan, and I love how the school is just a five minute walk from Fenway Park. I also came here to have an opportunity to play on the Men's Lacrosse Team.
What three things would you want if you were stranded on a desert island? Unlimited supply of food and water, my lacrosse stick, and a husky.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A counseling psychologist
