Education

Ph.D. Physical Chemistry, Iowa State University, Ames IA;
B.S. Computer Science and Chemistry, Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

I was a person who never knew what I wanted to do until I took a Physical Chemistry class. Suddenly, all the deep questions I didn't realize I had about chemistry were answered. I was particularly curious about the ways that computers could be used to model chemical processes, and I saw a great potential in using technology to teach chemical phenomena that are hard to conceptualize. I believe in a growth mindset, and I aim to bridge the gap among the sciences and between the sciences and other disciplines to allow students to appreciate the impact that chemistry has in the greater world.

What I Love about Emmanuel

Emmanuel really allows me to make personal connections with the students and with other community members. My job as an instructor is really enhanced by establishing these connections with students to allow me to better personalize their education.
