Ms. Dorice began her second career as an Academic Advisor at Emmanuel College in August 2013 and now serves as a the Assistant Dean of Student Learning and Success. In addition to advising first year and sophomore students in various majors, she serves as the advisor for the Black Student Union and is the staff coordinator for the S.TA.R.T. (Students Taking an Active Role Together) Program; a program seeking to introduce incoming freshman to complex conversations about social justice in an effort to expand the knowledge base of the Emmanuel community. Prior to coming to Emmanuel, Ms. Dorice worked in student service for several years as a child care administrator and social worker for at-risk families.

Ms. Dorice holds a B.A. in Political Science from Emmanuel College, a Master of Education from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from William James College. In addition to advising students, Ms. Dorice is a steering committee member of the President's Commission on Diversity and Inclusivity and co-facilitates the NIA Retreat.
