Business Development Consultant, Energia Growth Strategies
I gained a lot of self-confidence and experience through my leadership roles and internships while at Emmanuel. Faculty and staff really pushed me to go out and get valuable working experience as a student and I was able to intern for both Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy and Governor Mitt Romney.
Those experiences played a big role in my decision to accept a yearlong fellowship as a Budget and Financial Analyst at the Governor's Office of Management and Budget in Springfield, Illinois after graduation. I learned a lot observing the very different political processes and philosophies employed in these diverse political climates. Additionally, the contacts I have made at Emmanuel and through those positions have been invaluable in my professional life.
Currently, I work as a business development consultant assisting small and medium-sized companies expand their sales into new markets internationally. Our work helps U.S. companies become more competitive and expand abroad. The fast-paced work environment has been rewarding and exciting and I've been able to live out my dream of traveling the world.
