Anna Noone McDonald and her husband Pete spent Christmas 2001 in California with two of their daughters. They are proud of their grandsons, Ross and Colin, who wanted to see the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Lynn, MA, the birthplace of their grandparents. Ross and Colin left from Suquamish, WA and headed east to the Atlantic on bicycles, their only means of transportation. They passed through eight states and finally reached Massachusetts. They rode an average of 75 miles a day. After 4,000 miles and 65 days, they arrived at their destination. Entering the town of Lynn, Ross and Colin saw a sign, "established in 1620." They thought it incredible that the town was in existence this long. "Two things that really stand out in this area," says Ross, "are the many stone walls and the school buildings, huge, brick buildings that are meant to last forever. In Washington, things aren't meant to last that long." It was an experience that the boys will share for a lifetime. Spring 2002.
Elizabeth Maquire and Florence Bernard took two short trips this past year to Las Vegas and Quebec. They had a great time, but won no money! Spring 2002.

Patricia Marsh recently had a delightful reunion with several of the students who had been in her gifted class, grades 5 and 6 from 1962-1964. These students had been selected from different schools in the Boston School System and Pat had been selected to teach them. These former students arranged a get together, which brought back class members from as far away as California. Most of them had not seen each other since 1964. Everyone, including Pat, enjoyed recalling the days in her class. Pat says these students left a marked influence in her life. Summer 2001.
