The Class of 1945 enjoyed a lunch at Emmanuel College on November 27, 2001. Mary Ronan has set the next luncheon date for May 16, 2002. All classmates are welcome to attend and we hope to see you then! Spring 2002.
Alberta Dillon Andrewartha is grateful for the class dues that she received for 2001, but she wants classmates to know that the Dues Office is open and she will accept both 2001 and 2002 class dues anytime! Spring 2002.
Our sympathy to Margaret Burns on the sudden death of her brother, Rev. William Burns, and to the family of Marie Rooney who died in June. Spring 2002.
Anna Burke Crosby enjoyed a beautiful trip to Italy last spring. She also recently welcomed the arrival of her great grandson, Jacob Matthew Gage. Spring 2002.
Margaret Kane Davenport passed away in December and was remembered at the Memorial Mass at Emmanuel in January. Spring 2002.
Betty Fleming is a busy volunteer in Concord, MA. Each year she has the role of Aunt Lidia during the Paul Revere celebration. Spring 2002.
Adalice Andrade Hurst writes that she spent two months in Portugal with her sister and other relatives. In July her two sons joined her for a trip to the Madeira Islands, something that she had been dreaming about for a long time. Back in Denver she spends her time volunteering with the Little Sisters of the Poor. Spring 2002.
Betty Mahoney attended a very interesting Elderhostel at Portsmouth Abbey in August. She continues her volunteer work with HESSCO in the Money Management Program. Many of our classmates are participating in their 60th Reunion from high school. Mary Virginia Dooley and Eleanor Mahler Boyle celebrated theirs in Cambridge, MA in October. Spring 2002.
Phyllis Connelly Mulkern will be attending the graduation of her granddaughter Jamie from Bennington College. Spring 2002.
Mary McCabe O'Brien is happy to inform us of the arrival of her great granddaughter, Alexis Buesing. Spring 2002.
The Class extends its sympathy to Kay Quill, whose brother John died last year. Spring 2002.
Mary Cleary Ronan is the happy grandmother of Mary Kate Stack, a recent arrival from Russia, who joins brother Charles in the Stack family. Spring 2002.
Helen Ryan now resides in Westwood, MA. Spring 2002.
Mae Campbell Sheehan recently enjoyed a vacation with her sister-in-law in Boca Raton, FL. Spring 2002.
Mabel Waggett had back surgery and is recuperating very well. Spring 2002.
Eleanor Kennedy Winn and Phyllis Mulkern enjoyed a mini-reunion in early February when Eleanor returned to Massachusetts. Spring 2002.
More than twenty-five of our classmates attended our 55th Reunion and enjoyed the various activities. Eleanor Kennedy Winn traveled from Florida and Sheila Daley Falvey from Virginia. Summer 2001.

Eleanor Mahler Boyle is keeping busy these days following the activities of her grandchildren. Jon Boyle is a Plebe at West Point and is also busy playing on the Varsity Hockey and Baseball Teams. Carolyn Boyle has enrolled at Wheaton College. Meghan Kelly graduated from the London School of Economics and is pursuing a career on Wall Street. Brandon Kelly is a senior at Harvard and Erin Kelly will graduate from Groton Academy. Summer 2001.
Barbara Xiarhos Campbell continues to translate from Spanish to English for the Latin American Press. She has been engaged in this work for thirty-five years. Her son, John, has just been promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel and is located in North Carolina. Grandson, Alex Will, a recent graduate of Wheaton College, is teaching at the newly founded Nativity Prep in New Bedford. Summer 2001.

Eleanor Haynes traveled from California to attend her class reunion. Summer 2001.
Nona Rohan Mahoney is now living in Marshfield. She has seven children and seven grandchildren. Nona is a lector at Mass in Green Harbor and reads once a week for the blind at WATD and is planning a trip to Washington, DC to join old Book Club friends for a long weekend. Her youngest daughter, Rosemary, just wrote a book, The Early Arrival of Dreams, telling her life as an English teacher in China just before the Tiananmen Square massacre. A year ago, Nona and her grandson, Brandan, drove across the country changing drivers every two hours. Summer 2001.
Phyllis Connelly Mulkern records the birth of her eighth grandchild, Alexandria. Grandson Jamie Oldham, a student at Bennington College, is spending a semester studying at Galway University. Summer 2001.
Eleanor Smith took a trip from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, through the Panama Canal and several interesting intermediate stops. She sends greetings and good wishes to all her classmates! Summer 2001.
Kathleen Quill attended the World Congress for Medical Technology as a delegate from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Scientists. The congress was held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Kay's brother, John, recently passed away; our condolences are extended to Kay and her family. Summer 2001.
