Ellen Casey Mavuli and her husband Riccardo have been married for twelve years. They have two children: a boy, Giseppe, who is three and a half years old, and a girl, Gabriella, who is eight months. For the past seven years, the two have owned an Italian restaurant, called Gusto Restaurant, located off of Interstate 95, exit 36. September/October 2004
Wendy Martyna and Ann-Marie Hart were married on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Chapel in Falmouth, MA. It was a memorable day for 75 friends and family members on Cape Cod. We had a beautiful traditional ceremony followed by a Champagne Reception on the grounds of St. Barnabas. We reside in Cataumet, MA (a Cape Cod village of Bourne) with our two dogs and three cats... one named Emmanuel! Wendy works as the Director of Activities at Bourne Manor (a long term care facility). Congratulations to Elizabeth Sughrue, who married Robert Sneirson this past summer. They had two wedding ceremonies that celebrated both their faiths. They were first married at Stonehill College by a priest, and later at the Sheraton in Norwood by a rabbi. Her Maid of Honor was college roommate Margaret Goodwin, and Ann Gilmore (class of 1986), another Emmanuel alumna, attended the weddings. November/December 2006

Suzanne Bendickson Morris and her husband, Dave, have three children, Jackson, 12, Devin, 9, and Callie, 3. They adopted Callie from South Korea in 2001. They live in Belmont, MA and spend much of their time at their vacation home in Narragansett, RI. Sue returned to school at the New England School of Art and Design to pursue a graduate degree in decorative arts. Within the next few years, Sue plans to start an interior design business. Anne O'Leary Reinholosson has a new address: Jungfragatan 19, 114 44 Stockholm, Sweden. She is working as the Managing Director for a franchising organization called Chain Factory. She serves as President of the American Club of Sweden and is the Treasurer of The Stockholm International Rotary. She is on the Board of the restaurant chain O'Leary's Bar and Restaurant — a chain of 35 locations in Sweden and Denmark that she and her husband founded 16 years ago. In her rare time off, Anne received her underwater diving license in Phuket, Thailand and spent a portion of last summer in the Tuscan city of Verona! November/December 2004
Eileen Ellis Dumont vacationed in New Hampshire this summer. Her first announcement was that she and her husband, Dennis Dumont, now share the Emmanuel Alumni status! Dennis graduated from Emmanuel in 2002 with a master of science in management degree. Eileen has become more active in the civic organization in Weymouth, where she grew up, and is raising her two daughters, Lily, 9 and Emma, 6. Her recent outstanding work with the civic organization has received citations from the Mayor's office for sprucing up Weymouth Landing. In June, the Mayor appointed Eileen a trustee for the Weymouth Library. In addition to these achievements, she volunteers at the Weymouth Historical Society where she enjoys teaching history to third graders who come in for tours. Eileen is a great role model for her two daughters and an inspiration to the rest of us. November/December 2004
After 15 years in the "windy city" of San Francisco, Elizabeth McCarthy decided to relocate to Brooklyn, NY. She directed a short film on Cape Cod and is working on two projects as a screenwriter, filmmaker and editor. She also began working for Whole Foods market after her move to New York — she enjoys the insider discount from the much loved store! Julianne Toomey Kautz married Frank J. Kautz, II on November 21, 1998 in Emmanuel's Chapel. Frank is from Pennsylvania and is a lawyer running a small firm from their new home in Woburn, MA. Presently, Julianne is working for the Town of Peabody as a Library Media Teacher and began work this year in a new school, the Carroll School. The Carroll School has 500 students from kindergarten to fifth grade. She will be the only elementary library media teacher in the city! Her goal is to work with the administration to prove how essential library media teachers are to elementary age children. November/December 2004
Margaret (Peggy) Dillon Cecil's summer highlight was when her six year-old daughter, Chloe, was the flower girl in her sister-in-law's Maine wedding. Chloe also began first grade this year, plays soccer and enjoys a Jazz & Tap class once a week. Peggy's other daughter, Brae, who is now 17 months old, began gym and music classes once a week which she really seems to enjoy. Though she is busy with both her girls, Peggy works two nights a week for her husband's small business and became active on the Parent's Associated at Chloe's school. Recently, they enjoyed a Florida vacation in Longboat Key, which was just gorgeous! November/December 2004

Mary Lou Grady Joseph continues to live in Norwell, MA with her husband, Art, and their two daughters, Katie and Amy, ages eleven and eight. She works at a small software consulting firm where she was recently promoted to Manager of Marketing and Sales. She is active in her church, particularly the choir, where she is the director of the children's choir, a member of the adult choir, and a cantor. November/December 2006

Suzanne Christie is the new chorus and band instructor at Carver High School. Suzanne has taught for 13 years, most recently at Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth, MA. At Carver, she will instruct the band, chorus, jazz band and pep band. She will also teach music history and music theory classes. After receiving her degree from Emmanuel, Suzanne received a master's degree in teaching from Bridgewater State College. She currently sings in her church choir and plays the clarinet. Ailee Witkowski-Murphy has been married to Barry Murphy since 1988. Together, they have three children: Daniel, 15, Kelly, 11, and Joseph, 9. Katie Bowler Vitali continues to reside in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Juan. She teaches American Sign Language full-time. She was nominated and selected for 2004's edition of Who's Who of the Outstanding Teachers in the U.S. Juan and she recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. They had an awesome time snorkeling and sailing on the Caribbean for the second year in a row! Last March, she enjoyed adventures backpacking through the rain forest in Trinidad and she looks forward to upcoming travel to Venezuela. Susan Pernice was elected to the Board of the Directors of the Boston Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 2001. Her board service involves chairing both the Volunteer Development Committee of the Boston Affiliate and the Team Challenge of the Komen Boston Race for the Cure. Susan also developed the content of the affiliate's new website, www.komenboston.org, and would like to extend an invitation to the Emmanuel College community to visit often. Spring/Summer 2003

Mary Ellen Reilly Zung is Regional Manager in New York for Children First, Inc., a Boston based back-up child care company. She lives in New Jersey with her husband John and son Davis James, who will be three this year. Spring 2002.
Lisa Marchand Allen worked as a therapist doing outreach work with children and adults who were victims of physical and sexual abuse and domestic violence, and also created and ran a homeless shelter in Hartford, CT after graduating from Emmanuel. She is currently a stay-at-home mom and does some part-time work with her church. She and her husband, David, recently celebrated their tenth anniversary. Their first child, Amelia Grace, was born on February 27, 2000. After the birth of her daugher, Lisa was diagnosed with Addison's Disease — an adrenal insufficiency. She and her husband, Jerry, took a trip to Southern Spain: Cordoba, Sevilla, Granada and Torremolinos; they have also traveled to New York City and taken a Disney Cruise. Karen Davidson-Heller currently attends Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Services, full time, for her M.L.S. degree. She has two great boys. Jonathan is 15 and a freshman in high school. He loves to row on the crew team. Aaron is 12 and in the sixth grade. He is a great piano player and an "A" student. Her husband, Jim, works for Salem Five Mortgage Corporation as a senior loan officer and is doing exceptionally well. May/June 2004

Julia Hegedus lives in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She has two boys and one girl. Julia is actively involved in Mullen High School, a private Christian Brothers High School. Winter 2003.
Angela M. Hinter was a pin striper at the West Roxbury Brookfarm Nursing Home. She had the Angela Hunter House built twenty years ago in Jamaica Plains. Winter 2003.
Judith Molnar LoGerfo has been appointed as Catholic Chaplain at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. This is a parish-hospital collaboration. She is certified by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and has a MTS degree from Western Jesuit School of Theology '95. Summer 2001
