Our Evaluation Process
At Emmanuel College we consider the whole person and not just your grades and standardized test scores. Our admission decisions are based on several factors, including:
- Academic record
- Recommendations
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) results
- Extracurricular and community activities
- An essay or graded writing sample
We look for applicants who have a strong academic preparation, so we expect to see that you've completed the following courses in secondary school:
- English: 4 years
- Mathematics: 3 years, with Algebra I and Algebra II
- Foreign Language: 2 years
- Social Studies: 2 years
- Laboratory Sciences: 2 years
Four years of mathematics are recommended for a student considering college study in Mathematics, Chemistry or Business Management.
Candidates for admission as first year students are required to take the College Entrance Examination Board SAT or the ACT. Emmanuel College's CEEB code is 3368.
Before applying, you're encouraged to schedule a campus visit through the Office of Admissions.
