Genoveffa Grieci ’80
ELS Teacher/Chairperson, Framingham HS
I loved my time at Emmanuel. As a first generation college student of a family who came to this country as immigrants, education was and still is a very important part of my life. Studying English and my native language, Italian, at Emmanuel allowed me to become more confident in my abilities to express myself in both languages. I would not be as successful as I am today if it were not for the education I received at Emmanuel.
The work that I do at Framingham High School is very satisfying and rewarding. I have the opportunity to continue teaching as well as further my professional development through collaboration activities and workshops. I am able to develop curriculum, supervise teachers and tutors, and work one-on-one with students. I now help students prepare for their future, just as Emmanuel did for me and my daughter Maria who, I am proud to say, also graduated from the College in May 2009.
