I am a lover of both creative writing and art, so when it came to picking a college, Emmanuel’s location played a big role in my decision to attend. I liked knowing I could walk around the corner to the Museum of Fine Arts and Isabella Stewart Museum or take a quick T ride to experience the many cultural offerings of Boston.
As an Emmanuel student, I had special opportunities to develop my interests into resume-building experiences. I was lucky enough to become involved with the College’s literary magazine, Bang!, as a freshman, rising to the ranks of president the following year. As a graphic design minor, I also served a mini-internship with the College’s Office of Marketing Communications for class credit, which helped me discover an additional talent and love for design.
