The most appealing aspect of Emmanuel College is the diversity of the school. Not only are the people diverse, but there is also a great mixture of clubs and organizations that represent all of the different people and interests at the school. Taking part in many of the extracurricular activities that Emmanuel has to offer has given me the ability to positively impact our community.
I am on the executive board of a new freshman-run organization called Spark the Truth, dedicated to promoting the truth about college in a positive way. I do a lot of work with the elementary schools in the area, serving as a mentor at St. Katherine’s after-school program and I am also an active member of the Black Student Union and an Orientation Leader. I am always busy working on events or projects with other students and I enjoy every minute of it.
