I knew that Genzyme was the right place for me after graduating because of how great of an experience I had interning for the company my senior year. I am now a full-time Finance and Sales Operations Analyst and I owe it to the knowledge I gained while serving as an intern.
In an internship you have the opportunity to implement theory and learn to perform in real time. I interned in the Business Renal Unit of Genzyme Corporation as a Finance and Sales Operations Analyst. The unit markets products that are designed to address kidney disorders. My job was to coordinate with a third-party distributor to control the daily flow of products entering and exiting distribution centers across the country. I was looking to gain experience in sales or operations and this internship gave me the exposure that I desired as well as a pathway into my future after graduation.
