“Conservation efforts come down to three things: research, education and legislation. This internship put me in a great position to educate visitors about conservation, a cause I'm extremely passionate about, and I found it extremely rewarding.”
—Caroline Lussier ‘17
As a student at Emmanuel, biology major Caroline Lussier spent a lot of time at the Career Center, and she credits the staff with helping her land an internship at the New England Aquarium. Having been interested in both biology and education during her undergraduate experience, Caroline was eager to combine the two, and her role as visitor education intern at the aquarium gave her that opportunity. She engaged visitors of all ages with artifacts like shark jaws, touch tanks and videos while providing them with thought-provoking information such as details pertaining to animals' conservation statuses. Caroline's academic and professional experiences refined her career goals and prepared her for a successful career.
