ACE: Helping First-Year Students Thrive

Student participating in the ACE programFor the second year, Emmanuel offered its innovative Academic Connections for Engagement (ACE) Seminar to enhance the academic integration of first-year students. The five-week program introduces first-year students to life at Emmanuel and focuses on helping them thrive as learners, scholars and members of the College community. Each week, individual seminars are directed by Emmanuel faculty and staff serving as ACE instructors and by representatives of Counseling Services, Academic Technology, the Career Center and the Academic Resource Center. These seminars are unified by the common themes of community, connection/belonging and purpose.
