How We Work

The Office of Marketing + Communications (OMC) coordinates the design and printing of all College publications, College web pages and official e-communications. We are available to guide you through the entire process - from concept to delivery. The Office has developed a system to ensure timely delivery of your request. For most projects, requests should be submitted at least 12 weeks in advance of your delivery deadline. Depending on the complexity of your project, you may need to submit your request more than 12 weeks ahead of your delivery date. If your project is being mailed, you will need to plan accordingly. Please contact the OMC if you have any questions on the timing of your project.

The following tasks are involved in a new project request:

  • Submission and processing of an online Project Request Form
  • Coordination and execution of the initial project meeting
  • Scheduling the project on the Communications Calendar
  • Creation of a Project Agreement and Production Schedule
  • Creation and submission of the finalized text for the project
  • Design and build of project
  • Proofing, editing, revising and web testing if needed
  • Acquiring print estimate (print only)
  • Acquiring a purchase order and getting proper sign-off on the print estimate (print only)
  • Preparation of the files for print and/or web
  • Printing of documents or publishing to web
  • Project delivery specifications
