Science Colloquium

The Science Colloquium brings high school science teachers and students together with Emmanuel College science faculty and science majors to engage in conversations regarding science careers at the post-secondary level.

The Science Colloquium fosters conversations between high school science teachers and Emmanuel College science faculty regarding factors that help students succeed in science at the post-secondary level.  Emmanuel science majors also meet with secondary students for conversations about choosing and preparing for careers in science.

Some of the goals are to inspire secondary students to pursue careers in science, to provide a forum for secondary science teachers to share practices they have found useful in getting students interested in science and careers in science, and to create a professional learning community between secondary science teachers and college science faculty.
