Meet Meaghan Winn, Admissions Representative at Emmanuel College, Boston.
Meaghan works with prospective students and visits parts of New York, New Jersey and New England.
What is your favorite thing about Emmanuel College?
The amazing opportunities available to Emmanuel students! Whether it is exploring a new country through a study abroad program or walking down the street to catch a Red Sox game, there are so many chances to try something new and stay active.
What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?
Going to the aquarium! It is not just for kids. The giant fish tank is incredible to see at any age.
What is the one piece of advice you would give prospective students about the college process?
It is okay if you do not know what you want to major in. Through the Majors Exploration Program, you will work closely with the Office of Academic Advising to explore your academic interests at Emmanuel. Since you are not required to declare your major until the end of your sophomore year, you will be able to find your academic niche at Emmanuel College through your classes and experiences. That’s one of the beauties of a liberal arts education!
What is the most exciting aspect of working in Admissions?
I love talking with students and hearing their education and career aspirations! Whether it is informally in line to get coffee or in a formal interview, it is amazing to hear bits and pieces of what makes each student a unique contributor to the Emmanuel community.
