Career + Internship Opportunities

At Emmanuel, internships are considered a priceless component of a student's education experience. 100% of sociology students participate in an internship before graduating. They recognize that such experiences go above and beyond names they can put on their resumes. For them, internships are practical. Tangible. Real. They are essential opportunities in a student's journey towards a professional career.

Every sociology major is required to complete a one-semester internship. This experience allows them to see the applicability of what is learned in the classroom to the world beyond academia, gain valuable work experience and, for many, actively work towards a more just society. Recent internship opportunities have included working in the following settings:

  • Massequality
  • Beth Israel Hospital
  • Sociedad Latina
  • American Islamic Congress
